Job Summary
Conduct commercial insurance loss control inspections by driving to insured locations, taking photos, measuring structures, and identifying building construction types, hazards, and potential improvements. Coordinate onsite meetings with insured representatives, record observations in accordance with carrier-specific requirements, and prepare diagrams. Document all findings and upload reports via the online platform, ensuring timely completion according to due dates. Communicate regularly with the Field Manager to optimize inspection efficiency and manage assignments on a daily or weekly basis. Some overnight travel is required. Earn per assignment starting at $110.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with other Loss Control Service Providers or Major Insurance Carriers
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines - primarily Property, General Liability and Inland Marine
- Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes
- Broad understanding of NFPA codes
- Solid communication and time management skills
- Exceptional writing ability, organizational skills and computer skills
- Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet connection and a cell/smart phone
- An automobile and valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet
- Digital camera or smart phone with picture capability
- Measuring wheel, or similar tool, and camera pole
