Job Summary
Conduct commercial insurance loss control inspections by driving to insured locations to observe facilities, take photos, measure structures, and identify hazards. Record onsite observations, determine construction types and square footage, and coordinate meetings with insured representatives. Prepare insurance underwriting reports, upload findings and diagrams via our website, and communicate regularly with the Field Manager to complete assignments cost-effectively. Work on a daily or weekly basis with pay per assignment starting at $110. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to climb ladders, and strong writing skills to document findings accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with other Loss Control Service Providers or Major Insurance Carriers
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines - primarily Property, General Liability and Inland Marine
- Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes
- Broad understanding of NFPA codes
- Solid communication and time management skills
- Exceptional writing ability, organizational skills and computer skills
- Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet connection and a cell/smart phone
- An automobile and valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet
- Digital camera or smart phone with picture capability
- Measuring wheel, or similar tool, and camera pole
