Job Summary
Deliver American Heart Association and American Red Cross CPR and BLS training sessions to individuals and groups while demonstrating proper CPR and AED techniques. Evaluate student performance, provide clear feedback, and ensure all participants meet certification requirements. Prepare lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and maintain training equipment including at least three manikin sets. This part-time, contract role involves weekend classes with preferred weekday availability, performed in person at scheduled locations or client sites such as schools and community centers. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $45.00 per teaching hour. Valid instructor certification is required; applicants must hold current AHA or ARC credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CPR/BLS Instructor Certification
- Valid CPR Instructor Certification
- Strong knowledge of CPR and AED procedures
- Clear communication and teaching skills
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable time-management skills
- Ability to work with students of different experience levels
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and transport training equipment up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to physically demonstrate proper CPR and AED skills during class
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Weekday availability is preferred
- Must be able to provide and manage their own CPR training equipment
- Minimum of three manikin sets
