Job Summary
Director of the Los Angeles office leading a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, landscape architects and urban designers. Responsible for mentoring and recruiting staff, managing and overseeing projects, pursuing and winning work, and delivering equity-centered projects for communities across Los Angeles and the West. Acts as a liaison with company leadership and external partners, fosters an inclusive culture, drives high-quality, on-time, on-budget work, and collaborates across disciplines and with public sector agencies to transform communities through multimodal transportation and sustainable design.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Planning, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a very strong technical understanding of the Architecture and Engineering industry
- Minimum of 12 years of experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a consulting firm or similar
- Recent experience in and active relationships with Los Angeles-area public sector agencies
- Experience managing staff
- Experience pursuing and winning work that is competitively bid
- Experience solving problems, providing a high level of client service, and helping others navigate tricky situations
