Job Summary
Evaluate credit requests to assess credit worthiness, including cash flow, risk classification, and collateral analysis at the branch level. Analyze customer financial profiles to prepare Credit Recommendation Reports and present findings to the Credit Approval Committee. Maintain sound credit risk practices by completing quarterly and annual reviews, overseeing existing loan portfolios, and performing on-going post-lending management to identify early warning signs of deteriorating credit trends. Ensure all due diligence and background evaluations are completed while executing pre-closing and post-closing quality control processes. Prepare New Loan Closing Memos and monitor required compliance certificates to provide guidance on risk assessments. Cooperate with internal and external auditors and examiners to take corrective actions in response to audit findings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with major in Business Administration or Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related disciplines
- 3+ years of work experience in credit underwriting, credit risk and portfolio management in the banking industry
- 5+ years of work experience in credit underwriting, credit risk and portfolio management in the banking industry
- Thorough knowledge of corporate lending, loan structuring, financial analysis, customer due diligence and credit risk management
- Has gained formal credit underwriting and financial analysis training
- Excellent project management skills, ability to multi-task, adapt well to changing priorities, and effectively prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- good relationship management and development skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- High degree of professionalism, quality work and attendance
