Job Summary
Join the Los Angeles Angels as a Full Time Minor League Sports Dietitian, responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy and performance nutrition education for high A, AA, and AAA affiliates. You will collaborate with performance teams, create individual fueling plans, and assess dietary habits to enhance athletic performance. This role involves travel to minor league affiliates and requires a Bachelor's degree with RD/N credential, as well as at least 1 year of experience with a veteran sports dietitian.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Registered Dietitian (RD/N) Credential required
- At least 1 year working with a veteran sports dietitian
- Professional behavior and communication
- Available long hours, nights and weekends throughout the season
- Ability to travel 14 - 21 days each month during the season
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to inspire change in multiple personality types and cultures
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics preferred
- Spanish Speaking preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to be extremely active for periods of 4-5 hours at a time
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Ability to work on uneven ground
