Job Summary
Perform oil changes on guest vehicles, inspect fluid levels and cabin filters, check tire pressures, and rotate tires while inspecting brake components. Operate lubrication equipment safely, document all work on repair orders, and refer needed repairs to the ASM. Maintain assigned workspace and tools in an organized condition while achieving production objectives. Work full-time or part-time on-site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA, with weekly pay and access to employee discounts.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and application
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable, safe driving record
- Ability to frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to adjust, move, and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to frequently operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces
Desired Qualifications
- some college or vocational school
- one (1) year automotive repair experience
