Job Summary
Carry out the daily routine and instructional objectives of professionally certified staff in their absence by locating, reviewing, and executing the substitute schedule, procedures, duties, and lesson plans. Address the various learning styles of students while implementing strategies to promote quality academic and social behavior based on prior knowledge. Contribute to and manage an individual program plan for students with special needs, applying appropriate consequences for inappropriate behavior and maintaining a climate of respect and fairness. Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to ensure continuity in the classroom instructional program within the Laurel Regional Program.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution or career technical facility, or an Associate's Degree
- Prior experience working with children, is preferred
