Job Summary
The long-term substitute teaches content and skills in subject areas per Richmond Public Schools curriculum, develops lesson plans aligned with SOL standards, provides individualized and small group instruction, evaluates student progress, maintains classroom behavior standards, collaborates with other staff to address student needs, communicates with parents and counselors, supervises students in activities, and participates in faculty committees. The role requires completing the online application, providing a resume, transcripts, and references, and undergoing background screening and tuberculosis testing. Work location is Richmond, VA, with on-site duties and no relocation requirements stated. Qualifications include 60 hours of college credits; bilingual Spanish is a plus. EOE.
