Job Summary
Conduct daily instruction for students with disabilities, adhering to Next Generation Learning Standards and Individualized Education Programs. Embed structured learning experiences across five developmental domains while co-planning with academic teams and implementing Specially Designed Instruction. Manage classroom behavior, collect data, and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and related service providers to support inclusive learning environments. Maintain a valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities – Birth-2 and demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development and instructional technology.

- Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities – Birth-2

- Experience, knowledge and background related to Next Generation Learning Standards and its relationship to student growth and success
- Desire and knowledge to embed structured learning experiences around the five broad developmental domains
- Specially Designed Instruction considerations when co-planning
- Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, students, related service providers, support staff and administration
- Desire and ability to work collaboratively with direct and indirect academic teams
- Evidence of support of inclusive learning activities and learning environment
- Knowledge and evidence of Individualized Education Programming and subsequent document development
- Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement within the classroom

- Commitment to ongoing team development, curriculum and professional development and instructional technology
