Job Summary
Conduct daily instruction for students with disabilities in Birth-2 settings, embedding structured learning experiences across five developmental domains. Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs, collaborating with direct and indirect academic teams to co-plan inclusive activities. Implement behavior intervention supports and data collection strategies to maintain strong classroom management and student engagement. Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and related service providers to ensure student success. Requires a valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities – Birth-2.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities – Birth-2

- Experience, knowledge and background related to Next Generation Learning Standards and its relationship to student growth and success
- Desire and knowledge to embed structured learning experiences around the five broad developmental domains
- Specially Designed Instruction considerations when co-planning
- Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, students, related service providers, support staff and administration
- Desire and ability to work collaboratively with direct and indirect academic teams
- Evidence of support of inclusive learning activities and learning environment
- Knowledge and evidence of Individualized Education Programming and subsequent document development
- Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement within the classroom
