Job Summary
Long-Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist at Norwalk High School provides IEP-mandated speech services, conducts screenings, evaluates and writes reports, develops and implements IEPs, and participates in PPT meetings. Responsibilities include diagnostic services, collaboration with transdisciplinary teams, consulting with staff, reporting to parents and staff, maintaining required documentation, and staying current in the field. Spanish fluency is preferred; position involves direct therapy across a range of speech-language domains (receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, articulation, aural rehabilitation, auditory processing) and participation in conferences and school-community coordination.
Required Qualifications
- CT certification – Speech & Language Pathologist
- Licensure by the State of CT Board of Health
- Experience in writing IEP goals/objectives
- Experience with the PPT process
- Experience in working with families from diverse backgrounds
