Long-Term Substitute Pre-Kindergarten Paraprofessional - 6 hours per day

Long-Term Substitute Pre-Kindergarten Paraprofessional provides instructional and behavioral support to students under the direction of administration and teachers. Responsibilities include preparing and distributing instructional materials, maintaining a safe and productive environment, supporting curriculum-based activities, reinforcing lessons with individuals or small groups, assisting with physical and emotional student needs, scoring objective tests and assignments, supervising students during field trips, recess, and lunch, assisting with bus or van routines, supporting classes such as music, art, and physical education, and communicating with the classroom teacher to align goals and progress. Requires CDA or 12 Early Childhood Credits or higher and either ParaPro certification or a Bachelor's degree; documents include online application, letter of interest, resume, certification/licensure, transcripts, and letters of recommendation. Salary hourly rate ranges from $18.21 to $24.87, paid per contract at East Hartford Public Schools (Hockanum Early Childhood Learning Center).
