Job Summary
Lead and support classroom instruction for students from elementary through high school in an alternative school placement. Implement a blended curriculum including online coursework, hands-on projects, and restorative circles while maintaining classroom structure, engagement, and safety. Support students with academic tasks, learning goals, and behavior expectations, and collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning. Track participation, attendance, and required documentation. This role offers a pathway for individuals interested in entering the education field or pursuing teaching credentials within a trauma-informed, recovery-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- at least 3 years of related experience and/or training
- ParaPro exam
- Able to pass background and criminal record checks
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policies
- Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., negative tuberculosis test)
