Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines, adapting instruction for diverse learning styles and special education needs. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement and study habits while managing classroom behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Supervise assigned teacher aides and volunteer staff, coordinate extracurricular activities, and maintain all required physical and computerized records. Establish open communication with parents, students, and colleagues to support student growth and district mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- At least one year of student teaching or an approved internship
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

- Teaching certification held in multiple areas
