Job Summary
Implement and support elements of student instructional and behavioral plans under the direction of licensed professionals. Integrate communication and behavioral interventions into classroom and school-wide settings while fostering student independence for full participation in activities. Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and physical support, and supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, and bus rides. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure instructional continuity and maintain professional integrity by advocating for inclusive education. This long-term sub position is anticipated to start on 08/24/26 and end on 10/09/26, serving Pre-K through 8th grade settings.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional rapport and serve as a dedicated advocate for students
- A problem-solving approach and a flexible nature when navigating the diverse needs of students in a Pre-K through 8th-grade environment
- The physical ability to meet the requirements of the job, including lifting as needed to support student safety and care
- Exceptional patience and poise when guiding students through daily school activities and transitions
- A persistent willingness to learn and adapt to new instructional strategies or behavioral supports
- A commitment to the CVSD mission and the development of a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all learners
