Job Summary
Plan and develop grade-level math course of study following district and state guidelines. Provide individual and group instruction using diverse methods including lectures, projects, and technology. Prepare, administer, monitor, and grade assignments and tests while maintaining classroom discipline and student behavior standards. Evaluate student progress against learning objectives, conduct parent conferences, and participate in faculty and district meetings. Collaborate with educational professionals on instructional needs and student problems, serve on committees and IEP meetings, and supervise classroom aides. Report suspected child abuse and accept other assigned responsibilities regarding school operations.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Education
- Valid Montana Teaching Certificate with proper endorsement(s)
- Ability to write and read reports
- Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral form
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to respond appropriately to inquiries from students, parents, staff, and community
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
