Job Summary
Long Term Substitute Grade 4 Classroom Teacher in Newton, MA. Provides a developmentally appropriate educational program for Grade 4, develops lesson plans, delivers instruction within established curriculum guidelines, collaborates with teachers and administrators to improve instruction, engages parents/guardians in conversations about instructional programs and student progress, and assesses student progress towards targets. Instructs in English Language Arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and the anti-bullying curriculum; prepares daily lessons, maintains an effective classroom environment, manages student behavior, and participates in professional development and meetings. Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Massachusetts DESE teaching license; preferred Master’s Degree in Education. Strong communication skills, data collection to document progress, and reliable, punctual attendance are essential.
Required Qualifications

- A valid license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
