Job Summary
Long Term Substitute for Middle School Physical Education in Scituate, MA (SY26-27). Responsibilities include developing and implementing PE curriculum, planning lessons with accommodations for individual differences, using MA frameworks, assessing student learning, collaborating with special education staff, employing varied instructional strategies and technology, managing classroom behavior, supporting extracurricular activities, and maintaining open communication with students and parents. Requires Bachelor's Degree in assigned subject area and Massachusetts Educator’s License for Grades 5-8; CORI background check and current US work authorization required. Term is 12 weeks with a daily rate of $125. Preferred Master’s degree and additional teaching experience at the secondary level are encouraged. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in assigned subject area
- Massachusetts Educator’s License, Grades 5-8 in assigned subject area
- CORI background check
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
