Long Term Substitute - American Sign Language Teacher

Instruct assigned classes in American Sign Language and deaf culture, planning programs that meet individual student needs while maintaining a positive, behavior-focused environment. Prepare lessons with clear objectives, employ varied instructional techniques, and assess student progress regularly to communicate goals effectively. Enforce state rules, district policies, and classroom procedures to ensure educational program implementation, while maintaining accurate records and protecting student safety. Available to parents and students outside instructional hours as required. This ten-month position supports Kent County's educational philosophy through professional development and committee participation.
