Job Summary
Conduct daily substitute coverage for seven hours, supporting students with emotional and behavioral concerns in the classroom. Assist in transitioning students into general education settings while monitoring data as part of behavior plans. Provide de-escalation support and work within an environment where children may experience physical or emotional outbursts. Collaborate with a diverse team of teachers and adhere to the standard Teacher Assistant job description. This union-contracted 180-day position offers a starting rate of $19.40 Step 1 pay. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is required or training will be provided upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Teacher Assistant Certification
- Passed a praxis exam
- Associates degree in education
