Job Summary
Assess student progress toward learning objectives and differentiate classroom work to address individual needs. Provide a safe, welcoming environment while supervising students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned day. Plan a program of study meeting individual student interests and abilities, and maintain accurate records per district policy. Assist administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct, developing reasonable classroom behavior rules to maintain order. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal and work/school information for all students and staff. This temporary kindergarten teaching position at Mulready Elementary runs from August 31 through December 23, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Massachusetts DESE license
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints
- Ability to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods
- Ability to walk up and down stairs several times a day
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and previous experience with Benchmark Advanced ELA, and/or iReady Math
