Job Summary
Provide instruction; encourage and assess student achievement and progress; and manage the learning environment effectively. Demonstrate curriculum understanding and pedagogical knowledge; plan using state and local standards; use data to inform planning and address differentiated needs. Employ research-based instructional strategies and technology to engage students, promote higher-level thinking, and support skill development. Use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to guide instructional modifications; analyze student progress data and provide timely feedback to students and guardians. Maintain a well-managed, safe, and orderly environment, establish clear expectations, implement appropriate safety measures, and communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and district personnel. Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff to support student progress; participate in professional growth; comply with ethical and district policies; and fulfill reporting responsibilities. Possess and maintain valid certification as required for the role. Follow scheduling, attendance, and professional responsibilities consistently.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Georgia Educator Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
