Job Summary
Independently manage a caseload of Long-Term Disability claims from intake through resolution, conducting initial and ongoing interviews with claimants to gather key information while reviewing medical documentation and partnering with clinical and vocational experts. Deliver timely and ethical claim determinations by collaborating with case managers, nurse case managers, and consulting physicians to support informed decisions and appropriate claim durations. Provide exceptional customer service by proactively identifying needs and building strong relationships with claimants, employers, and internal partners. This role supports individuals through life's most critical moments within a high-performance, collaborative environment at Lincoln Financial.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- 1+ Years of long-term disability claims experience directly aligned with the specific responsibilities for this role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task

- Experience mentoring or coaching newer examiners
- Continuous improvement mindset (process optimization, efficiency, quality)
- Exposure to predictive analytics / AI tools
