Job Summary
Independent Vinyl Flooring Subcontractor – London. Role involves vinyl plank and tile flooring installation (LVP/LVT), floor preparation, removal of existing flooring, installation of transitions/trim/reducers, cutting and fitting around walls/cabinetry/fixtures, minor subfloor repairs, coordinating with site supervisors, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces. All work is assigned using a pre-approved fixed-price structure with bi-weekly payments based on completed work; no on-the-fly quoting. Requires proven experience, WSIB coverage and liability insurance, own tools, and ability to work in both occupied and vacant units. Projects across London and surrounding areas, with ongoing repeat work in Kingston, Belleville, Trenton region.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience installing vinyl plank / LVT flooring
- Strong attention to detail and finish quality
- Ability to complete units efficiently and meet timelines
- Valid WSIB coverage and general liability insurance
- Own tools (cutting tools, tapping kits, levels, etc.), PPE, and transportation
- Ability to work in both occupied and vacant units
- Knowledge of proper floor preparation and installation practices
