Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and support PLI-based mainframe applications by designing, testing, and enhancing programs according to business requirements. Manage both batch and online processing, creating and monitoring JCL, batch jobs, and workflows while delivering 24x7 on-call rotation for critical systems. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve batch job issues and implement permanent solutions, collaborating with DB2, scheduling, and infrastructure teams. Assist with releases, deployments, and DR/BCP activities while maintaining documentation and adhering to coding standards and change management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in PLI programming on IBM Mainframe
- Proficiency with JCL (Job Control Language)
- Proficiency with DB2 or equivalent databases
- Proficiency with PLI / CICS
- Proficiency with Mainframe tools such as TSO/ISPF, Endevor, File-AID
- Proficiency with Batch processing and scheduling tools
- Background in production or application support environments
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities
- 24x7 on-call rotation for critical systems
