Job Summary
Independent Interior Demolition Subcontractor for multi-residential renovations in London, ON and surrounding area. Responsible for full and partial interior demolition of apartment units, removal of drywall, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, non-load-bearing walls, kitchen and bathroom strip-outs, and debris handling while protecting structural elements. Must coordinate with site supervisors and other subcontractors, maintain clean and organized work areas, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Must have own tools and PPE, reliable transportation, WSIB coverage, general liability insurance, and ability to work in occupied and vacant units; pre-approved pricing structure with bi-weekly payments. Prior experience in apartment buildings or with property management companies is preferred; asbestos awareness knowledge is a plus and strong communication/coordination skills are valued for ongoing and repeat work.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in interior demolition
- Strong understanding of safe demolition practices and hazard awareness
- Ability to complete projects efficiently and within timelines
- Valid WSIB coverage and general liability insurance
- Own tools, equipment (demo tools, PPE), and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in both occupied and vacant units with professionalism
- Knowledge of waste handling and disposal requirements
