Job Summary
Logistics Transportation Specialist responsible for overseeing the efficient, timely, and compliant movement of goods within a 3PL environment, coordinating inbound/outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, small parcel, rail, air), serving as the central communication point between internal teams and external partners, ensuring compliance with government/REG standards, optimizing transportation costs, evaluating vendors, maintaining records, coordinating with leads for labor support, monitoring daily shipment volumes, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while building relationships with freight vendors in a mission-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience with transportation scheduling
- Ability to obtain Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) certification within one calendar year of hire
- U.S. Citizenship required to obtain Federal Security Clearance
- Ability to successfully pass and maintain both Federal and State security background checks
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management System
- Knowledge of Transportation Systems
