Job Summary
Route, dispatch, track and trace shipments for KNX Logistics and provide outstanding customer service as the first point of contact. Utilize knowledge of transportation modes (OTR, LTL, Rail, Drayage, Ocean Containers, Parcel and Warehousing) to align capacity with customer needs and tailor load scheduling to meet requirements. Proactively communicate capacity needs/opportunities to leadership; schedule/reschedule delivery appointments; enter loads from customer tenders into the system (TMS or Select); provide backup support for load planning and collaborate with designated personnel to dispatch loads. Identify pickup and delivery opportunities to meet customer needs, monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, and facilitate problem resolution. Communicate with carriers, shippers, and customer teams to ensure proper loading/unloading and update receivers. Investigate product overage, shortage, and damage and document actions taken; support others in achieving organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience and/or training within logistics, transportation and/or customer service required
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
- basic understanding/knowledge of the transportation industry
- must possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- must be able to write routine reports and correspondence
- must have basic knowledge/familiarity with MS Office
