Job Summary
Logistics Technician II located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (US Army) to support Logistics Management tasks including equipment and maintenance management, and property management. Key duties include performing and supporting equipment handling, inventory control, receiving/shipping/packaging, warehousing, data entry into computerized logistics systems, and assisting in planning and coordinating logistics projects. The role participates in audits to ensure compliance with logistics regulations, gathers and analyzes data for reports, and may assist in developing logistics training. Responsibilities also include reviewing SOPsIOPs, participating in logistics meetings, updating inventory records, and interfacing with logistics leadership as needed. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and possess a valid driver’s license; English proficiency and Microsoft Office skills are required. The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least three years of relevant experience or equivalent education/training as detailed in the qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Three years of applicable experience in Equipment Management, Maintenance Management, or Property Management; or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate’s Degree with one year of experience; or 30 credit hours with two years of experience; or completion of a formal training program of at least 30 days with one year of experience
- Must have current/valid driver’s license
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently
- Proficient in computers and software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and general office equipment
- Maintain professional appearance and ID credentials
- Security/compliance with SOPs and IOPs
- Experience interfacing with logistics leadership and performing audits
- Ability to maintain inventory records and perform asset management
