Job Summary

Operate and maintain machinery for loading and unloading ethanol, wet & dry distillers, and corn. Safely weigh and grade raw materials and final products while ensuring grain meets purchase contract specifications. Complete all records for shipped products, enter customer and product data into grain receiving software, and direct trucks to proper loading/unloading locations. Maintain rolling stock including loaders and skid steers by checking fluids, greasing, lubricating, and inspecting for defects per designated schedules. Communicate with maintenance, operations, and the Production Department regarding mechanical issues and product unloading. Keep the plant tour-ready, housekeeping areas clean, and participate in safety programs and training. Review chemical COAs against facility standards and assist with inventory tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be hard-working and self-motivated
  • Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff (co-workers and management)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office software skills
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory state and USDA requirements
  • Previous experience in grain receiving and grading
  • Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player
  • Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements of FRA, TTB and state regulations
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job includes but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, frequent computer use; frequent telephone use; some lifting or moving up to 10 lbs
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection)
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be able to maintain ongoing work authorization without employer sponsorship now or in the future

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial production plants helpful
