Logistics Technician

Job Summary
Operate and maintain machinery and equipment for loading and unloading ethanol, distillers grains, and corn; ensure grain quality per purchase contracts and reject nonconforming shipments; timely loading/unloading by railcar and truck; complete records related to shipments; perform inspections and routine maintenance on rolling stock and equipment; keep plant and work areas tour-ready; enter data into grain receiving software; coordinate with maintenance, production, and safety teams; participate in safety programs and training; leverage experience in grain receiving and grading and strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills to support compliant, efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Must be hard-working and self-motivated
- Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work with all levels of staff (co-workers and management)
- Excellent Microsoft Office software skills
- Exemplify the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of this Company
- Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory state and USDA requirements
- Previous experience in grain receiving and grading
- Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player
- Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in industrial production plants helpful
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements of FRA, TTB and state regulations.
