Logistics Team Leader

Job Summary
Lead and manage employees within designated logistics areas, controlling storage, movement, and distribution of materials to ensure production teams receive supplies safely and on time. Supervise team performance and safety while investigating material shortages, resolving supply chain issues, and coordinating chassis crane operations and returnable transit packaging. Maintain Health & Safety compliance across unit entrances, exits, walkways, and production line logistics areas. Collaborate with production teams and management to identify logistical challenges and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all actions align with Swift Group's best interests.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment
- Experience of supervising or leading a team
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- The ability to prioritise work and respond effectively to changing production requirements
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across different areas of the business
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and take ownership of finding solutions
- The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy and service
