Job Summary
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to align with business goals, conducting demand forecasting to ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock. Oversee procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring to ensure high-quality goods at best prices. Coordinate transportation and distribution of goods, managing logistics strategies to reduce lead times and overseeing inventory control for efficient stock levels. Monitor supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative practices to reduce costs. Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues regarding on-time delivery and quality metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Proven experience in procurement
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management
- Proven experience in logistics coordination
- Proven experience in inventory control
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership and team management experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- Six Sigma certification
- Lean Management experience
