Logistics Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise and support the daily activities of the logistics and warehouse team, allocating labour and resources to meet operational priorities and delivery schedules. Ensure the safe receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of materials and finished goods while monitoring inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stock control activities. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with transport providers, ensuring all shipping documentation is completed accurately and on time. Maintain compliance with health & safety, environmental, and company procedures, and monitor key logistics KPIs including on-time dispatch, inventory accuracy, and shipping performance. Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions, while identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations. Train, coach, and develop logistics team members to improve performance and engagement. Work collaboratively with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to resolve operational issues and support production by ensuring materials are delivered to the manufacturing floor in line with production schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising a warehouse or logistics team within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow
- Experience coordinating inbound and outbound logistics
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation within a warehouse environment
- Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE or similar)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline
- Forklift licence or previous experience operating material handling equipment
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience within an electrical manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
