Job Summary
As Fleet Supervisor, own and manage all physical fleet assets including trucks, trailers, and construction equipment to maximize uptime, safety, and regulatory compliance. Define technical specifications, lead vendor selection and procurement, implement and oversee preventative maintenance, and maintain vehicle records and inspections. Manage relationships with maintenance providers and OEMs, analyze total cost of ownership, and provide data-driven budget recommendations. Serve as primary point of contact for vehicle breakdowns and coordinate repairs with internal teams and external partners. Role requires up to 20% local travel to sites and collaboration with delivery teams to support on-time project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in fleet maintenance, asset management, and/or vehicle procurement
- Minimum of 2-5 years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrable experience managing a fleet of heavy-duty commercial vehicles
- Vehicle & Equipment Expertise: Class 7/8 tractors, trailers, and construction equipment
- Maintenance Program Development
- Fleet Management Software Proficiency (Samsara, Verizon Connect, Fleetio)
- Data Analysis & Financial Acumen; Excel proficiency
- DOT/FMCSA knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations
- Record-Keeping & Auditing experience
- Vendor Negotiation experience
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Problem-Solving abilities
- CDL license (Nice-to-Have)
