Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations while overseeing transportation, distribution, and carrier relationships. Monitor logistics costs, prepare budgets, and identify cost reduction opportunities by analyzing performance metrics to implement process improvements. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations while managing staff through hiring, training, and performance reviews. Resolve shipment delays, damages, and issues by coordinating with purchasing, production, sales, and customer service teams. Implement and maintain logistics systems and tools such as TMS, WMS, and ERP. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours dependent on workload.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, related field, or pertinent work experience
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and transportation modes
- Proven experience managing teams and third-party service providers
- Proficiency with logistics software, Microsoft Office tools, and Lean principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to pass background and drug test prior to employment
- Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks while managing through shifting priorities and ambiguity
- Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills
- May require after-hours availability to support operations
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment preferred
