Job Summary
Supervise Logistics Operators to ensure shifts are covered safely and efficiently, overseeing safe and timely loading, unloading, and material storage. Operate a forklift truck to a satisfactory standard, conduct daily safety inspections, and maintain accurate repair records. Manage the weighbridge, complete shipping documentation, and perform checks on product storage silos. Maintain high housekeeping standards across material storage areas, the yard, and car park while ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies. Participate in hazard reporting, attend toolbox talks, and complete required operational training. This internal opportunity for Biffa employees focuses on developing leadership skills within our Redcar Polymers plastics recycling facility.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Health & Safety knowledge within an industrial or warehouse environment
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience
