Job Summary
Facilitate lean-driven daily logistics in the shipping area, supervise the team to meet workload demands, monitor inventory and expenditures, seek employee input for process improvements via root cause analysis, assign tasks, enforce safety and quality standards, collaborate with Safety and Quality departments, and communicate production requirements to the production team while building strong employee relations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations and ability to enforce standards and ensure compliance with regulations
- Ability to implement and maintain quality assurance standards
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
