Job Summary
Coordinate shipment availability, manage truckload and LTL carrier relationships, and select optimal routing to meet customer needs. Execute multi-stop pickups, track shipments for on-time delivery, and resolve exceptions by expediting or escalating delays as necessary. Create load plans, bills of lading, and system reports while gathering and reporting additional carrier charges. Maintain strong internal and external communication to ensure high accuracy across all supply chain partners.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree, plus one or more years' related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Teachable mindset
- Eager to learn
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Strong Analytical skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Curiosity, drive, and initiative to use data collection, analysis and other information gathering skills to determine areas where Yusen has opportunity to improve the product and its performance within its portfolio
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of transportation routing in US and Canada
- Ability to run system reports
- High level of understanding of all MS Office tools
- Ability to work in multiple system platforms
- Proactively seek new ideas for continuous improvement
