Job Summary
Execute load tendering, daily load planning, and weekly coordination calls with mills and operations to meet regional shipping goals. Negotiate competitive rates with transportation providers, monitor shifting shipping patterns, and develop relationships with carriers. Build understanding of mill inventory, limitations, and production strategies by partnering with sales and operations teams. Participate in on-call support and provide PTO assistance to the team.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years of transportation experience
- Ability to work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Demonstrated skill juggling multiple priorities
- Demonstrate a high level of urgency with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task and quickly change priorities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Highly process-oriented with proven ability to follow and improve structured workflows
- Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain, business or related majors
- Flatbed transportation experience
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Drug-Free Workplace (DFW)
