Job Summary
Execute logistics and warehousing activities including shipping, receiving, inventory accountability, and storage for customer equipment and supplies. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and box trucks to load, unload, move, and sort items while ensuring weight distribution guidelines are met. Manage inventory by reconciling discrepancies, updating the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and verifying shipments against purchase orders. Perform transportation duties by conducting vehicle safety inspections, driving to designated delivery points, and assisting with backhaul cargo loading. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards while ensuring compliance with physical security guidelines and DOT regulations. Work Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, with 20-30% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance that has been adjudicated in the last 5 years or designated CE
- Ability to obtain and maintain special accesses
- Valid driver's license
- Capability to operate a range of vehicles including box trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
- H.S diploma or equivalent
- 5 Years of experience
- Logistics, warehouse, distribution operations or supply chain related experience
- Basic computer skills and experience using MS- Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to accurately follow established procedures and directions to locate proper delivery destinations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Experience and comfort with a physical job that involves repetitive motions, climbing, stooping, crouching, bending, kneeling, pushing, reaching, and pulling
- Use of computer terminals
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical
Desired Qualifications
- Class A or B CDL or military equivalent, with 5 years of driving experience
- Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations on transportation
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of a range of vehicles and material handling equipment (i.e., cab-over, day cab, and conventional tractors; flatbed, lowboy, car carrier, 53 foot, and wide load trailers within the scope of the commercial Class A driver's license, with endorsements)
