Job Summary
Plan, schedule, dispatch, and track outbound and inbound shipments across multiple locations using BluJay TMS and SAP. Execute shipment creation, load tendering, and confirmations while maintaining accurate financial data and validating freight charges. Coordinate carrier assignments and equipment availability aligned with production schedules, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and hazmat requirements. Monitor carrier performance, review service metrics, and resolve transportation issues such as missed pickups or late deliveries. Communicate shipment exceptions to Customer Service, Production, and Supply Planning teams. Support freight optimization initiatives including consolidation and routing improvements. This hybrid role requires 25% travel to Conway, NC, and aligns with our mission to engineer sustainable products for a safer world.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in shipping, dispatching, or transportation within a manufacturing, chemical, or regulated industry environment
- Experience supporting multiple locations or high-volume shipping operations
- Working knowledge of DOT, hazmat, and chemical shipping requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, sites, and priorities simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness to take a drug test
- Willingness to submit to a background investigation
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Satisfactory work performance (if currently an employee of the Company)
- Exposure to chemical manufacturing environments
- Adherence to all safety and PPE requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or logistics-related training
- Experience shipping hazardous materials, bulk liquids, or regulated chemical products
- Hands-on experience with BluJay TMS (e2open) and SAP
- Solid understanding of freight rating, accessorial charges, carrier invoicing, and dispute resolution
- Strong attention to detail, particularly related to financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Proactive problem-solving skills with sound judgment and escalation discipline
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Familiarity with site safety programs, carrier scorecards, and corrective action processes
