Job Summary
Junior Logistics Specialist will learn and assist with warehouse operations across receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and inventorying materials; support materials transportation activities including packing, shipping, and receiving; follow established safety and storage procedures (including hazardous materials when required); perform inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records; update inventory management systems to ensure material accountability; support process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and accuracy; must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, follow security guidelines for material handling, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with deadlines; preferred forklift certification and CDL options, and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn new databases and applications; position may require occasional extended hours to support logistics operations.
Required Qualifications
- Current forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A or Class B license, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, is highly desired
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly Required Skills: ability to work independently and in a team, follow security guidelines, strong communication and collaboration, ability to follow tasks to completion, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn new databases and applications
