Job Summary
Global Logistics Specialist to support Chemelex’s global logistics strategy, execution, and commercial performance. This role operates at a tactical level, coordinating a global carrier strategy, contract negotiations, and cross-regional execution. Requires balancing commercial acumen with operational know-how and data-driven decision making. The position is hybrid in Houston with Work from Home on Mondays and Fridays and In Office on Tue–Thu; responsibilities include end-to-end transportation networks, carrier relationships, cost optimization, RFP support, performance monitoring, and cross-functional partnering with SIOP, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, and Customer Operations to align logistics with demand and supply plans.
Required Qualifications
- 3-10 years of experience in global logistics, transportation, or supply chain
- Proven track record in carrier sourcing, contract negotiation, and freight optimization
- Experience across multi-modal transportation (parcel, LTL, FTL, ocean, air)
- Experience supporting global freight spend and supplier performance
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with a data-driven approach to decision making
