Job Summary
Source carriers to arrange transportation, negotiate freight rates, and track shipments while troubleshooting issues. Build rapport with partner carriers and customers to promote Legacy as a fair business partner, then communicate with operations, sales, and account management to understand client needs. Monitor additional transit costs to minimize order expenses, maintain accurate database and billing entries, and follow shared files and SOPs. Weekend and afterhours shifts (3pm-11pm EST or 10am-8pm PST) Friday through Tuesday. Competitive annual salary based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Weekend & Afterhours Shift (3pm-11pm EST or 10am-8pm PST) Friday-Tuesday
- Experience in the transportation industry preferred
- Experience in intermodal/road transport, and/or brokerage environment preferred
- Energetic, relentless, and thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent negotiator and communicator with a great phone presence
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Great customer service skills
- Enthusiasm and high energy
- Strong work ethic & coachable
- Insatiable curiosity, always willing to learn and grow with the company into progressive roles and responsibilities
