Job Summary
Receive and inspect inbound deliveries for completeness and transit damage, then structure and optimize the warehouse layout for maximum safety and access. Conduct regular stocktakes and book all material movements in the ERP system while assembling components for engineering and worldwide shipping with compliant packaging. Manage national and international shipments via air, courier, or road transport, creating customs documents and handling procedures through ATLAS. Ensure compliance with German and European foreign trade laws, including dual-use goods and export control guidelines. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, and external partners to execute purchase orders and shipments on time. Maintain contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies for critical components.
Required Qualifications
- Completed commercial or vocational training in logistics (e.g., Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik, Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of solid experience in operational warehouse logistics (goods receipt, picking, packaging) combined with a proven track record in import and export processing within Germany/the EU.
- Good knowledge of German/EU customs law and experience with the ATLAS system.
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite
- Solid Excel skills and quick understanding of digital tools
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
- EU Citizenship required
Desired Qualifications
- Professional experience in handling dangerous goods (especially lithium-ion batteries according to ADR/IATA regulations) is a strong plus.
