Job Summary
Logistics Specialist responsible for end-to-end logistics operations in Japan (Tokyo) with hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities include daily logistics execution (shipment arrangement, warehouse coordination, issue resolution), import/export/domestic shipments, coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers, customs clearance, regulatory compliance with Fire Service Law and other chemical regulations, EPA applications, SAP-based shipment execution and inventory management, coordination with 3PL vendors and internal stakeholders, inventory accuracy, reporting on logistics performance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 4+ years of hands-on logistics experience
- Experience handling DG shipments including regulatory compliance (Fire Service Law, Chemical regulations in Japan)
- Hands-on experience in customs clearance coordination and vendor management in Japan
- Good understanding of international trade and logistics processes
- Basic knowledge of EPA applications and trade-related procedures
- Language Requirements: English — Business-level proficiency; Japanese — Native or business-level proficiency; Chinese — Strong plus
