Job Summary

Assign and allocate company assets for daily operational activities to meet financial profitability goals. Optimize space utilization by strategically cubing and splitting customer products in trailers using IIM and Microsoft Excel tools. Generate optimal load plans based on available space, weight restrictions, and delivery schedules while ensuring execution plans remain accurate across IT systems. Manage and communicate daily load plans for CDL driver schedules, including start and end times. Perform data analysis and modeling to identify load optimization opportunities and provide daily performance feedback to the Planning and Engineering Manager. Collaborate with operation managers to understand load requirements, delivery constraints, and customer needs. Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to recommend process improvements. Adhere to DOT regulations, C-TPAT best practices, and ISO certification standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years in a dispatch or load planning position
  • Supervisory experiences in a fleet size/or driver size of 100 or more
  • Utilizing specialized transportation software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Working knowledge of transportation software such as TMW, McCloud, Peoplenet, Rand McNally, PCMiler, etc.
  • Class D driver's license
  • Eligible to be insured under the applicable Company Motor Vehicle Insurance policies
  • Knowledge of transportation fleet models
  • Versed in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Knowledge of CTPAT
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to effectively represent the Company in a positive manner interacting with clients, customers, co-workers, drivers, and the general public
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to create, interpret and present the date found in a variety of charts and graphs, including pie charts and bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving data entry issues
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Occasional travel is a requirement for this position
  • Employee will be required to be mobile for 100% of the workday
  • Employee will be required to sit, stand, and bend up to 80% of the workday
  • Employee will be required to reach overhead with hands and arms, grasp, climb and/or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Overtime, weekends, evening and holidays maybe required
