Logistics Operations Specialist - In house (Afternoon shift)

Job Summary
Coordinate daily transportation and logistics activities from the client's automotive manufacturing plant, serving as the liaison between plant personnel, drivers, and internal teams. Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, while resolving real-time issues affecting transportation flow. Track shipment statuses, manage exceptions, and maintain accurate logs of daily activities and carrier performance. Ensure full compliance with client protocols, plant safety rules, and transportation regulations. Identify process improvements within plant logistics operations and communicate them to leadership. Work the afternoon shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage based on production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- automotive industry experience
- Excellent communication skills
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced plant environment
- Strong organizational skills
- attention to detail
- proactive approach to issue resolution
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- familiarity with TMS or plant-based logistics systems
- Availability to work on-site at the client's automotive plant
- flexible schedule
- Conversational english level preferably
